Terms of Service
Effective
These terms are the agreement between you and LightHouse Foundry, Inc., a Florida corporation ("LightHouse Foundry", "Foundry", "we"), for the use of the Foundry product at lighthousefoundry.ai. By creating an account you agree to them. We have tried to write them so you can read them in one sitting.
1. What Foundry does, and what it does not
Foundry coaches you through building a business. The Coach, an AI, asks the questions an experienced advisor would ask, writes up your answers as a venture model, keeps track of what you have proven, and tells you plainly where your venture stands. Later stages can build, host, and help you market an application for that venture.
The Coach is not a lawyer, an accountant, a financial advisor, or an investor. What it writes is a draft for you to confirm, correct, or reject. Every decision about your business is yours. Foundry does not guarantee that your venture will succeed, raise money, or make a sale, and a verdict from the Judge is an assessment of the evidence you have logged, not a prediction.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. One account is one person; accounts are not shared. You sign in through Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Facebook Login, or an e-mail link; keeping that sign-in secure is your responsibility, and what happens under your account is yours. Tell us at once at privacy@lighthousefoundry.ai if you think someone else has used it.
3. What you own, and what we own
Your content is yours. Everything you tell the Coach, every file it writes for you, every idea, and every line of code you import or that is built for your venture belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to run the product: to store your content, show it back to you, send the parts the AI needs to the model provider to generate a reply, and build and host your application when you ask us to.
The import pledge. When you point Foundry at code you already have, we read it only to draft your venture model. We will not share it with anyone, copy it into our products, or compete with your idea. Your code stays where it is.
Our parts are ours. Foundry, the Coach, the Judge, and our library of pre-built components and templates belong to us. When we build your application, we may use those parts; they remain ours, and we may use them for other founders. Your code is never added to that library. You may use our parts inside the application we build for you for as long as you like, including after you leave.
Feedback. If you suggest an improvement, we may use it without owing you anything.
4. Credits, plans, and payment
Foundry meters work in credits. One credit is one Coach turn. Judge scoring runs are included and never metered.
Free to the first verdict. You can use Foundry without paying until the Judge gives your venture its first honest verdict. We tell you the price before we ask for a card, and we never charge you for anything you did not agree to first.
The plan. One plan: $200 per month, which includes about 72 credits. Included credits reset each month and do not roll over. Credit packs: $275 for 100 credits, at any time. Pack credits never expire, and the month's included credits are used before pack credits. The rate is the same either way: $2.75 per credit.
Fairness. If a Coach turn fails on our side — an error, a platform fault, a misfired scoring run, a metering fault — you are not charged for it, and any credit taken is restored. We do not charge for work that produced nothing usable.
Receipts, cancellation, refunds. You see your balance and every charge on your account page and get a receipt for each one. You can cancel the plan yourself at any time; it ends at the close of the paid month. Refund requests are handled by a person at privacy@lighthousefoundry.ai.
Hosting. Applications we build are hosted by Foundry as part of the plan. Hosting ends when the plan ends. Before it does, you can take your source code and a copy of its database with you, and we help you do so.
5. Acceptable use
Use Foundry for your own venture. Do not use it to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to build something designed to harm people, to attack or probe our systems or another founder's, to resell access, or to extract our components, prompts, or models. We can suspend an account that does these things, and we will tell you why.
6. The AI, and the limits of what it produces
The Coach's and the Judge's outputs are generated by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Read them as you would a smart colleague's first draft. Where the Coach cites evidence, check it. Where it estimates money, treat the estimate as an estimate. You are responsible for what you do with the output, including anything you publish or file.
7. Leaving
You can close your account at any time. When you do, you can export your whole venture record first, including its history, and your built application's source and database. After you close it we delete your data on the schedule in the Privacy Policy. We can end this agreement if you break it; if we end it for any other reason we give you 30 days' notice and the same export.
8. Warranties and liability
Foundry is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data beyond what our backups restore, and our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to cover us for claims arising from content you import or publish through Foundry that you did not have the right to use.
9. Disputes and law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and disputes are heard in the state or federal courts in Palm Beach County, Florida. Before either of us files anything, we agree to write to the other and try to settle it within 30 days.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you in the product and by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Foundry after that date means you accept the change; if you do not, close your account before then and the old terms apply to your exit.
